The college receives a high-level delegation from the Republic of Turkey
The Dean of the college, Asst. Prof. Dr. Salah al-Din al-Taha, welcomed a high-level delegation from the Republic of Turkey during a visit aimed at strengthening university and cultural cooperation between the two sides. The Turkish delegation was headed by Dr. Fatih Muhammad Aydin, Deputy President of the Supreme Council for Religious Affairs in Turkey. The delegation included Professor Dr. Ahmed Yucel, Dean of the Faculty of Sharia at 29 May University; Dr. Anwar Osman Khan, President of the Religious Academy; Dr. Jaafar Tayyir, Director General of Religious Publications; and Dr. Abdul Jalil Oglu, Head of External Relations for Muslim countries. Dr. Salah al-Din al-Taha expressed his welcome to the delegation, emphasizing the importance of this visit in developing relations between academic and religious institutions in both countries. He highlighted the significance of scientific cooperation in building bridges of understanding between cultures and enhancing civilizational dialogue. He accompanied the visiting delegation on a comprehensive tour of the college’s departments, introducing them to its academic programs and distinguished outputs, as well as shedding light on the university programs it offers. During the visit, a documentary film produced by the Media and Government Communication Department was presented, detailing the college’s inception and development from its establishment up to 2024, a year that witnessed significant scientific and administrative advancements supported by His Excellency the President of the Bureau, Prof. Dr. Mishaan al-Khazraji, and closely monitored by the college’s administration. The documentary impressed the Turkish delegation due to its portrayal of the substantial developments the college has undergone in its infrastructure and educational programs. The Turkish delegation praised the academic level of the college and its efforts to support scientific research and promote moderate religious values, expressing their eagerness to expand cooperation in the fields of education and university exchange.
