Scientific Discussion

On Sunday, 13th October , 2024, a public defense was held for the master’s student in the Department of English Language, Shahad Sabah Abdul- Mun’im. This took place in the hall of Dr. Maki Al-Kubaisi—may Allah have mercy on him—at the Sab’a Abkar building. The title of her thesis was “A Sociolinguistic Analysis of Certain Color Terms in the Holy Quran and the Bible: A Comparative Study.” After an extensive discussion of the thesis by the esteemed members, the thesis was accepted with a satisfactory grade.
