Al-Imam Al-Adham College Organizes a Memorization Competition for “The Centennial Poem on the Biography of the Best of Creation” as Part of Its Plan to Enhance Islamic Sciences
In line with its strategic vision to enhance Islamic sciences and encourage students to master scholarly texts, and under the patronage and presence of the Dean of the College, Prof. Dr. Salahldin Flayyih Hasan, the Department of Quranic Sciences in our college organized today, Wednesday, March 19, 2025, a competition to memorize the poem “The Centennial Poem on the Biography of the Best of Creation” by Imam Ibn Abi al-Izz al-Hanafi – may God have mercy on him.
The competition witnessed the participation of 22 students, 12 of whom qualified for the final stage. The results are scheduled to be announced on Thursday, the 27th of the blessed month of Ramadan.
The Dean emphasized that this competition comes within the college’s strategic plan, which aims to revive the scientific heritage, entrench Islamic sciences in the hearts of students, and enhance their connection with the Prophet’s biography.
He added: “The college is moving steadily towards developing curricula and scientific competitions to be a leading university educational environment in spreading Islamic knowledge, according to an integrated methodological vision.”
It is worth noting that the college, since the launch of its development plan, has been working to organize scientific events and purposeful competitions that combine authenticity and renewal, which contributes to building a generation capable of mastering Islamic Sharia sciences.
